3.THAI ridgeback DAY 8.-10.6.2012

On the weekend 8. - 10, June 2012 was 3rd meeting of Thai Ridgeback Dogs in CZ (3. THAI ridgeback DAY)

The weather on Friday wat until the evening great and 12 TRDs already came to the event.
On Saturday was already clooudy with occasional rain, which quite reflected to not large attendance.

Although to the event came from total of 41 registered TRDs only 21 of them + 2, who came to see us, so the meeting was successful and the participants have mastered it even that gloomy weather

Saturday's day began with Owners Show, which attended by nearly all of participants and Owners with their thais handle it great. Even was attended a small blue/not blue notTRD who played on to be Thai and secretly crept into the ring, ranked to others and ran obediently in the ring without he owner. Perhaps she thought that no one would notice it. Of course, her performance we had to evaluate and she tooks a special price.

After that followed Agility, which again was the most success activity. Agility has been this time improved with running of Owner with dog, after leave dog on the spot and owner had to return same way over obstacles, so it was something funny to look at. Some persons even managed to scrape through tunel and run through the beam. Because Amy and Monty attended this event as the only two Thais from one owner, so I decided to run agility with them just once, both togather same time. Even i had concerns that they will not able run together and scrape through the tunnel and can not do slalom by tandem, because they did agility just second time, so I was surprised and they mastered it without any problems.

On the lunch time was announced contest "The best CAKE". This competition was quite interested. Overall, it was examined 13 different cakes, tarts and and gingerbread from participants, so it was not easy to choose the best one.

Crazy show was not held due to weather so it´s why was replaced by knowledge quiz, which was divided into written and verbal part. The written part was focused mainly on the Thai Ridgeback breed standard and knowledge about them. Best ones advanced to the verbal part (written parts for foreigners), which was already with specialized topics around vet health issues.

At the end of the day was a free program where participants had the chance to consult each other about their dogs and problems with them and some even went for a walk during the rain.

For the whole organization team I would like thank to all who have chosen to participate in this unique weekend, as well to everybody who help with organization, and of course all the sponsors who once again were very generous to us and I hope that you will be interested to participate of other our events
